In 2017, Carnival Corporation’s CEO, Arnold Donald, became the first travel industry executive to deliver the opening keynote at CES – the world’s largest consumer technology event that is typically unchartered territory for those outside the tech world. LDWW worked with Carnival Corporation to leverage the speech and the company’s overall presence at CES to introduce its interactive guest experience platform for highly personalized cruise vacations – an innovation expected to transform how people experience and enjoy leisure travel. From managing media strategy and leading media relations efforts for a media preview event, to organizing demos on the CES show floor, to doing onsite online/broadcast hits and making use of Facebook, Instagram and other social platforms, to stream and broadcast the news – the team helped Carnival Corporation make a splash with over 9,000 media stories during a week that is typically dominated by tech companies.
